My father was born on 29 January 1921. I can still remember when, every time my father would here this Grammy Award®-winning sound recording, he was listening with glee. My father would also set aside any and all prejudices he had towards African-Americsn people of that time and era.
To use the term "Bubblerock" for this masterpiece is an insult to a work of a group of excellent artists. It is certainly NOT ROCK. There are only two kinds of music: good music and bad music. Bad music dies. Good music lives on. This is GREAT music. Everything about it is great. The voices, the vocal arrangement, the backgound arrangement by jazz professional Bill Holman. This will live as long as there are people to listen to it and love and enjoy it. To call it "Bubblerock" is the work of a bubblegum head.
