What a freaking genius. This lines are brilliant and way ahead of their time, considering it was in the pre James Jamerson era for bass instruments, before the modernization of music that included a bass guitar, the melodic lines they bring.

Mingus is my favorite jazz composer. I love the richness of his harmonies and use of counter-melodies. We all need to pray for passive resistance. Violence is never the answer.
