This was my introduction to Miles 4 yrs ago. Someone I knew was talking about Miles, about BitchesBrew & Jack Johnson, he said he liked "Silent" more than either of these. This convinced me to buy it & I'm so glad I did. It's amazing. An album of quiet eloquence that's still potent after a thousand listens, still my fav Miles album!!

Many do not know that it was Joe Zawinul (Weather Report fame) who wrote In A Silent Way. He and Wayne Shorter hooked up after that session to form Weather Report.
