I am 82 years old, but was a special song to me when I was at Lees-McRae College in 1952-1954. The tears are flowing, but they are happy tears. Thanks for the memories. Peggy
See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sun rise on a tropic isle
But just remember, darling, all the while
You belong to me
See the marketplace in old Algiers
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember when a dream appears
You belong to me
I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too and blue
Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
Just remember till you're home again
You belong to me
I'll be so alone and without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too and blue
Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
But remember, darling, till you're home again
That you belong to me
Impeachment hearings, climate change, the holidays, random shootings and ww3? this song was playing in my head and I had to get my fix. That's why I'm here listening. I was born 19 April 1948. Whew.
At 72 y/o, I still so remember my mom singing along to this while she was doing the dishes. I was 6 y/o. -----------------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
My grandmother always plsy this song in a her old vinyl record and we cousins always laugh at it. My grandma said it was their theme song during the war. Now years later i love this song
Everyone in the comments seems so cool and genuine. I don’t want to ruin anything, but this movie came up in “The Nun”. Soooo, get ready for all the NUN comments.
Robert Luevanos I went to Korea in 1952 and I first heard this song there on a mountain top close to the 38 parallel I have loved the song since but only sung by “G. I. Jo” as Jo Stafford was called by WWII soldiers and I also remembered my buddies with a tear in my eye I am 87

There's no other song in the world that reminds me more of my parents than this one!!! My dad fought in the Pacific during WWII and while back home, my mom stood watch in the towers to watch for enemy aircraft. After the War, me and my brother were born --- thank you, Lord Jesus, for keeping my Dad safe! -- and, I can still hear this song being played on the car radio shortly after it was released in 1952. Gracious, I do love and miss them!!
