Drifting into the lives
seep into the soul where emotions hide
dark skies were beating me down
with shadows of deceit slashing at
trust till it forever bleeds
with doubt, with pain, with trust
is pain.
When you think of me in your
multidimesional mind, try and wash the
«evil"from your mind and open it.
When you taste the truth you will
see like others before me, to you
I am past, a story to tell
tell it.

Every band I love has some songs I don't like, or even can't stand. That is except for Death of course. Every album amazing in it's own way, and every song is metal as fuck. Chuck wasn't a guitarist or a vocalist. He was a musical genius, and it is a shame so few people know of him.
Just a part of the majesty and emotional intensity we know in the metal world as Chuck Schuldiner, and DEATH. Amazing track, one of very many from a living, loving human being.
Miss you Chuck x

This part of the song always makes me wonder,if he knew at this time about his sickness, and if he wanted to write this song to tell people who he is,cause he always said people had a misconception of him, thinking he was just a fuckwit that was evil but he was more chilled out and laid back than anyone, and obviously kind,so when I hear the lyrics "I am past,a story to tell, tell it" makes me wonder about this, this song makes me fucking sad,or maybe I have my own misconception fuck I don't know...
