This is such a great performance. Chet plays it like no body else would. He internalizes the music so much to the point that it becomes his own. You would of thought he wrote the tune! He doesn't just run through the motions, he OWNS the motions.
[Chet's trumpet solo]
[Verse 1]
There will be many other nights like this
And I'll be standing here with someone new
There will be other songs to sing
Another fall, another spring
But there will never be another you
[Verse 2]
There will be other lips that I may kiss
But they won't thrill me like yours used to do
Yes I may dream a million dreams
But how can they come true
If there will never ever be another you
[Chet and Russ's solo]
[Verse 3]
Yes I may dream a million dreams
But how can they come true
If there will never ever be another you
Jazz is such a great genre of music in my opinion. I love how it follows musical theory, but strays off the path sometimes to sound interesting and alien, and comes back sounding warm, and calm. Man, Chet Baker makes this sound like gold. Love this song.

But there will never be another you
There will be other lips that I may kiss
But they won't thrill me like yours used to do
Yes, I may dream a million dreams
But how can they come true
If there will never ever be another you...
Personally Chet baker is definitely my favourite jazz artist I love how he'll play for a while and then just start singing but the way he sings is really gentle its beautiful and melancholic, so is whole feeling, he's without doubt one of my Jazz influences.
