I remember emerging from Southwark station in London one day in August 2001, just after a thunderstorm, listening to this on my walkman and seeing everything clean and glistening in the sun just as the refrain kicked in... I was literally transfixed for a minute, standing motionless by the station exit, oblivious to the people shuffling past me and with massive goosebumps all over me. A very powerful song indeed.
