Last year I watched Trainspotting 1 and 2 with my parents. I had never seen Trainspotting but they had both watched it back when it came out in the 90's, they were around 20 years old back then. A couple days after watching the first Trainspotting we went to watch T2 Trainspotting and as we watched it I realized that the movie was about aging and growing older. Knowing this while sitting there with my parents who were then in their late 40's, I don't know, I just get very emotional when I hear that melody at the start of this song.

A lot you youngsters have no idea how weird those days were. Everything was wild. You could buy a 3 bed house in London for just £100 000 or just squat in one. We thought Tony Blair was great and the ecstasy was pure. How I miss those days.
