How hard is it for me to wait for you
See you in the next one have a good time
Could be a lifetime before I see you again
See you in the next one have a good time
Eyes they open wide
Eyes they open wide
I like the way
It was hate the way it is now
Lack of time and a wasted week end
You wore your lies like a filmstar
Eyes they open wide
Eyes they open wide
I like the way it was
Hate the way it is now
Something about this song is absolutely beautiful. I've always considered it a song about saying goodbye to someone you once loved, but scrolling through comments I see a lot of people relate this to deaths in their family as well.
It's perfectly sad and yet at the same time it's so uplifting. Like no matter what happens in this life, I'll always see you in the next one. And for a song as pretty as this to close out such a heavy sounding album, somehow makes it that much more impressive to me.
One of the saddest and most melancholy songs i've ever heard, and a perfect album closer. So ethereal and beautiful. See you in the next one sounds like going into another life
This song could be Pink Floyd at their best, really reminds me of tracks like mother, comfortably numb, wish you were here in songwriting and even his voice on this, compliment to both bands.
I heard a live version which i thought was even better than this as the crowd are singing in tune for once lol and Ashcroft's voice is normal (without the FX)
Still a great song
