Oh, we came to town to see
That old tattooed lady
She was a sight to see
Tattooed from head to knee
My uncle Ned was there
He came to gape and stare
«I've never» he declared «Seen such a freak so fair!;
And on her jaw was the Royal flying corp
And on her back was the Union Jack, now could you ask for more?
All up and down her spine, were the queen’s own guard in line
And all around her hips sailed a fleet of battle ships
And over her left kidney was a birds-eye view of Sidney
But what we liked best was upon her chest
Our little home in Waikiki
What did you say?
Honoring Bob Shane b. 2/1/34 - d. 1/26/20
It was with great pleasure and a great honor to have known and worked with the original Kingston Trio and their legacy today is firmly intact. As the exclusive agency for the heirs we at Producers, Inc. enjoy seeing the original energy and sound kept alive and well for sold-out audiences across the country.
I enjoyed many hours of fun and adventure with BOB SHANE. He ran the organization and kept the TRIO and legacy active these many years. Thank you, Bob for your loyalty, perseverance and love of folk music and its impact world-wide. We will continue our responsibility to keep your music alive. You will be missed.

I love this. Especially with the LP playing. This is how i remember it playing it as a kid. My father had given me a few albums to play and i played this song out!. Thanks for posting its a classic :)
Great recording, in my bookcase I have a copy of ALL of the Kingston Trio albums made. I am now converting them to mp3 through my DAK-2800 PC interface. I am also working on my Limelighters, Bob Dylan, P P & M and other folk albums from late 50s to mid-80s.
My dad used to sing this song to me when I was a kid in the 60'a. Then, I sang it to my kids when they were growing up. I hadn't realized it came from one of his Kingston Trio albums. Thanks!
