I grew up with this hymn and always loved it. Back in 2002, I first heard the Isaacs version. The beauty of their harmonies led me to research the origin of the song. I was shocked to find that the writer of this song did so after losing all of his children tragically. I looked at my then 6 y/o son and only child wondering if I could have that same faith if anything were to happen to him. Little did I know that my son would die in a car accident when he was 24. This song, their voices, and the love of Jesus took me through that difficult time a year ago..and u know what? HIS will be done: IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!!
So difficult to say that this is my favorite hymn but most loved and The Isaacs express it in such deep sense of awe and majestic vibe to reach the very throne room of my savior.
