My parents danced to the Miller Orchestra live before I was born. I grew up listening to this music, love it.

I just watched "The Big Band Years" on Vegas PBS tv. I never heard of this person before, but sure knew of Glen Miller. I love all this old stuff!!!

They look a little stiff, probably the 8th take and the director was probably making them nervous, but what a fantastic sound. What a great orchestra. Is it Glenn Miller? And what a great voice. Tex was awesome. Is that Marion Hutton singing with the quartet. Perfect harmony. One reason there was an explosion of great music in America from the 1920s to the 50s was that every high school back then had a music department which taught voice, instruments, orchestra and lots of music theory. Many high schools today dont teach as intensly or have dropped music altogether. Look at all the crappy "music" today, or should I say, "autotune".

He was a rare talent who could do it all. Him and Glen are timeless.

Playback speed at 0.85x seems to be the original tempo. The one in the video is too fast.
