Here we are in 2020, almost 60 years later. Hal Marx, mayor of Petal Mississippi, commented on the murder of George Floyd. He said he "didn't see anything unreasonable. If you can say you can't breathe, you're breathing." He later apologized saying but was disappointed in being labeled a racist.
In Petal Mississippi 3 years ago Marc Davis, a black man, called 911 to ask for assistance having been in a car accident. The police showed up and shot him to death. Unfortunately there was no video. The police report was accepted even though an eye witness disagreed with it. "Who you gonna believe, me or your lyin' eyes?"
I’m here after George Floyd was murdered. The fact that this song still has so much relevance today is disgusting. She sang this song for change and we got none. Rip George Floyd and all of the innocent lives taken
“My country is full of lies”, “All I want is equality for my brother my sister my people and me”, “Me and my people just about threw” so many of those sentences so true in these times you would think that after this racism would end but no a few days ago a black man that did absolutely nothing wrong died with a cops knee on his neck and things like these happen everyday just because of a different skin color
Listening to this after viewing the full footage of George Floyd's murder. "I cannot breathe." "My stomach hurts, my neck hurts, everything hurts." "I Will!" "They killing me!" "I am through." "MOMMA!" "MOMMA!" When will it end!! My soul is tired. I am 58 years old. I am so tired.
