When I remember what to say
When I remember what to say
You will know me again
And you forget to answer
When I remember what to say
When I remember what to say
You will know me again
And you forget to answer
You seem not to be listening
You seem not to be listening
The high tide is taking everything
And you forget to answer
When I remember what to say
When I remember what to say
You will know me again
And you forget to answer
So gorgeous... no voice like hers ever graced music again. Now we have Miley Cyrus...
I wasn't even alive when this song came out, but boy do I miss those days...
This is fron the album The End.
John Cale (piano, bass, xylophone, acc. guitar, synthesizer, organ, marimba, triangles, cabasa, glockenspiel, percussion, piano & electric piano), Brian Eno (synthesizers) & Phil Manzanera (electric guitar) are the musicians participating here.
One of my favorite Nico songs!
Plaintive and melancholy, her voice suits it perfectly.
Why some criticize her voice I have no idea; she is completely in tune and has an an authentic and raw quality that no voice training can fake.
Wish I could go back and re-experience her performance I saw in the early 80's.
Is this meant for someone, Lou Reed, or maybe Alain Delon? (I checked - Jim Morrison who had just died)
Brilliant "Deutschland Uber Alles" on the album but as a satirical depressing dirge.
thank you! this music invokes many memories ... and the photos: priceless! my copy of this lp long-gone, along with my favorite, Marble Index lp; but I still have an orig tape of Nico solo perf in NYC, made by a friend in club: harmonium and voice... must transfer to cd before it fades, etc... anyway, thanks again for this. sda
I think this one is for Jim Morrisson,
Some strings sounds like the
"albinioni adagio"
Which was jimbo favourite song.
Some people are leaving, dying without giving explanation,
i think the song is about the living who stays with sad questions and ghosts...
