I'm disappointed that this man doesn't get the recognition he so deserving, music and playing any instruments especially the guitar is a beautiful thing, just wishing I had it in myself to play like this "God bless the blues and GUITARS

U can feel his soul in this song,  thats why it always feels nice to listen to Fred's music

it is hard to believe anyone has ever been better on the guitar

I read somewhere once that Fred McDowell once said his guitar sings what he sings and you can really hear that with this recording.

Love this song....... anyone not listening to blues or old field recordings and jazz are missing so much.. ALL modern music has roots here and in all that came before it....

there is no better music

Interesting sound but id have to disagree anyone is "missing out" or this is the "best". That's all relative to the individual. I do however enjoy theses folksy blues notes. Wondering if this is a slide guitar?
