Love her activism! She refused to perform before segregated American troops during the second world war. She complained that the US military would seat the German POWs in front of the Black soldiers during her shows. She was a hell raiser and paid the price for it by having her career stifled.

This song was played at my grans funeral service and I miss her she used to sing all day long as my brother and I played out the back I miss her so much we had a secret pact the two of us I'm so sad :(
