Thanks for posting. My Pops grew up in Calumet City Illinois back in the 1950s and early 60s. Unlike a lot of cites around the country, The Blues were on the radio all the time here in Chicago. Jam with Sam would be on late in the evening.(Sam Evans) So when I confiscated his blues albums from him in the late 70s, I was hooked. But the one song that he would ask for when I started collecting Jimmy Reed was My Bitter seed. I found Rockin' With Reed, and the rest is history. Good memories.

Thanks for posting this. I've been wanting to hear it since I first read about it in the Peter Green biography some years ago. It was mentioned in the context of drummer Mick Fleetwood being impressed and moved by the simple yet absolutely effective drumming, just as Charlie Watts - and no doubt legions of other people - had been a few years previously. This is great music, which I would play to someone who was interested but not versed in blues: relaxed, yet intense and full of feeling.
