I think this is titled "I'm Nervous" because of some pre-musical dialogue I recall hearing in which Reed says he is indeed nervous. Considering that he sound much more inebriated than usual, perhaps he should have been! Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks (The Band) have a smokin' version of this from 1960 on Roulette - somewhat different feel, especially with Robbie Robertson's slashing lead guitar, but both versions are great.
