Another rock song with a flute that they said would never work. This song is what turned me on to Tull's music.
Let's Go Living In The Past...................
I really feel that many times Iam Living in The Past, but why not the old times were the great times in my live. Growing up with The Beatles, Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan and Jethro Tull were my BEST YEARS
Amazing record. Of its time and yet it hasn't dated. Incredibly it's nearly HALF A CENTURY OLD.
If I didn't live in the past I'd be miserable.
The most underated song writer this country's ever produced. Have seen Tull over 36 times in various parts of the country and never been disappointed. Such a shame we'll never see their like again. God bless Ian Anderson. Thanks for the memorys.
I was fifteen, living with my grandfather when this was released...he loved it ! Great song, great memories that will last my lifetime..
Music with an IQ. What a novelty these days.
Anyone who can stand on one leg while playing the flute has my respect.
I reiterate: Ian Anderson is a musical genius worthy of inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
the flute is Anderson's personality - so entertaining and theatrical
I LOVE LIVING IN THE PAST WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC!!
I remember when this song came out. it was a very different world back then. it might as well have been a different planet.
If the people of The Lord Of the Rings listen to rock music, it would be jethro tull
Note for note, Anderson is one of the most melodically inventive composers in rock. The band's instrumental arrangements are among the top 5% too.
We who listen to this song in 2020 are living in the past. :D
one of their best tunes ever.
This is a great song! Fun to listen to. Still enjoyable after all the years
gone by!
The best of rock an roll never dies, and this is some of it!
When I listen to Tull I am dancing naked round a tree in medieval times with a rock sensibility. Its alchemy, I tell ya!
