As a teenager in 80s I bought this alongside my Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Beck, Blackmore related albums, and not a fusion aficionado then,I couldn't understand how come Holdsworth seemed to be a superior guitarist to those others but wasn't publicly as famous... I still don't! Holdsworth is the god of guitar!
one of the great electric guitar solos I reckon, such gorgeous flowing lines. He made it sound so effortless, but I do wonder sometimes if he even made enough money to live. Of all the guitarists of my youth, I miss him the most.
Love Holdsworths playing but don`t forget the other great musicians here. Pierre Moerlen, Didier Malherbe and Francis Moze from Gong and Mireille Bauer also from Gong
Dear Allan, I will never forget our short conversation at Yoshi's. I am glad I brought my son. Along with the UK album (how about Nevermore?), Nostalgia in Jean Luc Ponty album, this is my FAVORITE among your amazing song catalog. Never get tired of these since mid-late 1980s when I discovered your music. Thank you, Allan my guitar hero, rest in peace...
