The intro bass guitar tune on this is so far advanced, I think few bands from this period understood the variations that a unique bassline can add to a song.  Weather Report certainly understood this.

I was just a 17 year old when I saw Gong play at the Hammersmith Palais in 1975. The atmosphere was thick and heavy with the smell of weed and the crowd were from another planet. Wonderful stuff.

come on modern music, you got a sh*t load of catching up to do. gone are the innovators . love this band and all the others who dared to make stuff the mainstream may not like , Frank Zappa, Camel, Dixie Dreggs etc
