Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper «I love you»
Birds singing in the sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me
Say «Night-ie night"and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you’ll miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longing to linger till dawn, dear
Just saying this
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singing in the sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me
Say "Night-ie night" and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear
Just saying this
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
Imagine this:
It’s snowing outside the italian restaurant where you at, they light up the fire and left the lights low, you’re eating your favorite pasta with your love.
I think every generation has their hits and their misses when it comes to music, but this one really makes me want to experience city life in the 50’s.
I hate that whenever I go to listen to these “old” songs and look at the comments everybody is like “I wAs BoRn In tHe wRoNg GeNeraTiOn” or “iM 11 aNd i oNly liSten to oLd mUsic” and also the occasional “toDays sinGeRs arE trAsh whY caNt thEy alL sOund lIke ThiS” like just enjoy the song and shut up
