this song has so much gravity for me hearing it since my dad passed away. 8 years ago. he loved Autumn and the fall leaves. he grew up in the New England states where autumn is really spectacular! and he always said that Autumn in California is nice, but not like back in Rhode Island. I miss him so!
One of the most splendid voices of the 20th. century, no less! And what a haunting, luscious, sensuous rendition. Unmatched! Why can't singers nowadays convey such pathos, elegance and class?! What a shame! They ought to learn from those legendary artists who will remain eternal and will be forever remembered.
Doris had a golden voice. After her vocals with Les Brown, she built a great movie career. I never get tired of listening to her vocals. This is singing that will last forever.
