As far as I'm concerned, Dave's solo, beginning at 5:27, continuing til 7:50 is the greatest ever, and will never be surpassed

Best solo ever by Paul! Especially love how they suddenly break into a Latin feel at 2:58

This, along with Take Five (The Last Set At Newport) with Gerry Mulligan, make my all-time Top 10 favorite songs. Paul’s solo is outstanding, but Dave’s solo is so damn innovative. Who else could even think to play what he plays?

Wow what a reception! Pre-rock n roll when jazz was cool with the kids. Love it

I love that when he goes up into the altissimo register, that he actually plays melodies; he doesn't just squeal. Paul is so cool, one time, he made ice put on a sweater! RIP

Beautifully quiet restrained treatment here...... until Paul Desmond's [alto sax] comes in, and thence comparative with Charlie Parker's version of HOW HIGH THE MOON with the Milt Jackson Quartet....
