I can also hear similarities in "It Don't Come Easy" by Ringo. And I know this song came first by a few years.

Been a longtime Fan of CSN but listening to this song for the first time today. Shame on me! Sounds so good.

Any argument that this band would not be considered in a top 5 list of American rock bands is invalid.

Stephen Stills played all guitars, bass guitar and clavinet on this tune and all vocals. Jimmy Karstein on drums. Everyone always thinks it was Palmer on bass but he was long gone by the time this was recorded and Stills is an awesome bass player as well.

Yep, great bass, and for its time, really sophisticated and sweet,

I'm embarrassed that I had never come across this song, and had no idea that it inspired what is one my favorite musical moments: the last part of "Carry On" by CSNY. I find out FORTY-TWO YEARS LATER that it was lifted from this very cool Stephen Stills song!

Are we the only intelligent people left?... I knew fifty years ago this was about the best thing I'd ever heard and still is. Stills just soars on this one.

wormpiano, your comment "There's no good reason this isn't played on the radio today".  I couldn't agree more.

Stills is a genius...and the bass on this song is just filthy. Thanks for uploading this.

Here because of film "Echo In The Canyon," and Clapton re-recording of this song.

Great posting. I'd totally forgotten that Stills used portions of this song in his classic "Carry On" from CSN&Y's "Deja Vu" album.

I bought this album the day it came out in summer '68 and I stacked all three and just played them continuously for days. This track and "On the Way Home" faves on this album, but they're all stellar.

My favorite song this week. Is it my imagination....or does it sound like Eric Clapton's Let It Rain?
