Right out of college. I was poor as dirt. Was a social worker, living in an old hotel in Wichita. No friends around. Lonely as hell. Don't know why this song was so important to me in those days. But it still reminds me of that time.
I've been listening to this tune for decades. One of the few that I keep coming back to. How anyone can not like this is beyond me. But everyone has different taste.
got a good reason for loving you
It's an old fashioned sign
I kinda get the feelin' like mmm you know when
I fell in love the first time.
Kind woman
Won't you love me tonight
The look in your eyes
Kind woman
Don't leave me lonely tonight
Please say it's all right
Remember once before you're hearing the old folks say
Love's an ageless old rhyme
But now a days you know the sayin' depends so much on
The kind of woman that you find
Kind woman
Won't you love me tonight?
The look in your eyes
Kind woman
Don't leave me lonely tonight
Aah you say it's all right
Kind woman
Won't you love me tonight?
The look in your eyes
Kind woman
Don't leave me lonely tonight
Please say it's all right
I remember dancing with my wife to this song in the kitchen of our old cabin. She was thinner and my hair was long. Our cares were fewer and life was simple and good. Great song
It still surprises me that so many people only know this band for 'For What it's Worth' when they wrote so many great songs! Also it says a lot about Richie Furay that, in a band that included Neil Young and Stephen Stills, he still cast his own shadow. Such a beautiful song!
Driving home from the graveyard shift I heard this tune and thought it was was the most inspirational song about love and true commitment to love and a true commitment to someone you love in good times and bad. By the way, who played that steel pedal?
I got out of the service in late 68. Loved Buffalo Springfield. Travelling around in my 49 Dodge panel truck called "Brother Truck". THOSE WERE SOME DAYS!
I bought a cassette tape that was supposed to have a Willie Nelson tape inside. After listening to a track, I realized it wasn’t Willie. Checked the tape and it was this band. I heard this track and fell in love with it. I’m a huge fan of John Mayer and this track had a familiar feel to it.
I’m now a fan.
