I recently taught a course for senior citizens on famous singers of 20th C. I have an even greater admiration for Bing. He and Al Bowlly are just great. Bing's phrasing and and other technical aspects are superb.

I really don't see is as a matter of one outsinging the other, when speaking of Bowlly and Bing. They have two different voices and sing with different interpretations. They are both wonderful. It's a matter of taste but I am in love with both :)
