This version of 'three o'clock blues' is by far the best one I can find, even better than bbs origin version. This version includes so many bb skills that really shine. If anyone doubts bb is the king of blues, I will show this version to him.
By his own admission, not the best guitar player, not the most skilled or even the most talented. Yet, the best pure Blues Musician in the World... bar none.
truely a master didnt even notice the lack of bass player till 3/4 of the way through....amazing muscician...he doesnt play the blues...he is the blues...was a sharecropper as a young boy/man...this is who greeny learned from most
It's midnight and I am sitting up listening to B.B and wishing that he hadn't died before I could meet up with him again. Hey B.B.- I hope you're doing O.K. up there, old friend- we miss you down here. Andy G.
actually this song was written and first played by Lowell Fulson in 1946.on the original you can really hear tbones influence. both renditions are classicß
first time i met B, i had Lucille and a photo of Luther Allison I gave him. Long story, but when I asked him to sign Lucille, I asked him to sign something about the Blues....his response............When I sign my name, That Is The Blues.....nuff said and so true!!
