Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire scars the night sky
Solstafir!
Amber streams from Sol
Are not unlike the waves of the sea
Nor the endless horizon of ice
Solstafir!
Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire paints the twilight
Heidrun bleeds the golden nectar
For the rising sun and the moon
The midnight wolves who watch over the dawn
The golden dawn
Solstafir!
Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire scars the night sky
Amber streams from Sol
Are not unlike the waves of the sea
Nor the endless horizon of ice
Aurora swims in the ether
Emerald fire paints the twilight
Heidrun bleeds the golden nectar
For the raising sun and the moon
The midnight wolves who watch over the dawn
Solstafir!!!
I used to play guitar for almost 8.year.Im 22.y.o and I kinda lost everything, friends, job,gf also band.I have never been more depressed, sick and every time I come here to listen this masterpiece I cry and I want to start play again my guitar.
A couple of months ago, I met John Haughm at a Paradise lost concert in Portland and I dared to ask him about Agalloch and he said is been a few years since they talked at all, currently they don't speak to him, so Agalloch is done forever and also he told me that doesn't even remember how to play and sing the songs anymore. It was sad to hear all of that, so I told him what Agalloch means to me and he was nice about it. I told him no to forget about people like me who still listen to Agalloch almost every day, he said he won't forget it and he appreciated my words because that means his existence wasn't in vain, what a talk.
My mind was blown into a pallet of feelings&tought about our universe and then it was seasoned with existental nihilism into a finer iteration of "wtf is my life even worth in this universe".
Today I learned my girlfriend, currently in ICU, isn't going to make it. This is exactly the music I've spent hours looking for. You may have saved a life tonight.
