Am just discovering Buffalo Springfield and am really enjoying them. I was born the year this album was released. This song is one of my favorites. I knew I had heard a different version but couldn't remember who the artist was. Now I know it was Yes.

What are the lyrics about? "Most everything that a baby sees" hints at a newly-born absorbing the sights and colours of the world around him, but maybe that's too facile.

Another interesting song that Yes rescued from obscurity by finding the hidden essence inside and bringing it out.

There are actually THREE versions by Yes - -an outtake from their 1st album; a B-side from the same sessions; and the final  "TaaW" version. I put this and those in my "Yes Studio" playlist. Thanks for uploading the very obscure original!

Guess Yes kind of made it famous... kinda. I think JA sings 'grocery store, 10 BUCKS' instead of clerks. - Only ever had BS's 2LP best of... this is only the 2nd time I've heard the original. Thanks. Definite jazz influence ...can kind of see what attracted Yes to it.

One of the most underrated tracks from this masterpiece of an album! Jazzy and psychedelic. I love how Neil Young just lets that E string feedback through most of it. Simple but really effective.

So unappreciated. Way ahead of its time.

Anyone have any thoughts as to how Neil Young is getting that sound? I'm using an e-bow to replicate it, but I doubt those existed back then.

The feedback was not intentional. During the take they thought let's just keep going. That's how you make experimental jazz.
