Interesting I hadn't ever heard this version. It's a stripped down song that is the seed for a section of "Broken Arrow", By Buffalo Springfield, and another section that is woven into Crosby Stills Nash and Young's "Country Girl". It sounds brilliant on its own. I don't remember this appearing on any Buffalo Springfield album. Oh I see, it's unreleased. What a gem! If you love this band, listen to the two songs I named above. Genius isn't too strong a word for these guys.
I just found out that this was the precursor to CSNY's Country Girl which is one of the most beautiful songs ever. It only took me 50 years to learn this - better late than never! It makes me want to cry when I see all these guys so young. Time is the Great Destroyer ):
In my opinion better than Broken Arrown and Country Girl. Jeez, that intro riff and later together harmonies gives me goosebumps. Amazing is a small word for this
