Yg is the only comparable rapper to the 90s rappers who worked on g funk he obviously got all of his inspiration from the old West coast rappers and he mimicked it but in his own style most rappers these days just think if it rhymes then it can be put down even if you're rhyming the same word and they just put a decent sounding beat behind it yg is definitely the best rapper in the game right now there's people like Eminem who are still out there but Eminem isn't as prominent in the rap world like he used to be so he's not a role model or one of those guys at the top charts yg is what we need to keep hip hop/rap a thing without yg we would be a generation who listens to some shit that could never be as good as our elders music but we can identify with them thanks to yg
