That's pretty cool. Yes, everything I have read/seen of him, he definately seems colorful to say the least. He was kind of the first superstar performer of Country Music. Is there a festival to commemorate his life/legacy down by you?
Thanks! I agree, it is great music. Thanks for watching, and I hope you have a great night, Brian. P.S. Be sure to check out my other videos, I have over 850 old time recordings from the 20's and 30's posted. Take care, Brian
This is so much fun to listen to. Too bad there isn't a video of it. Uncle Dave led the way for all our favorite Bluegrass & Country stars .
Thanks for this wonderful Macon rendition.
Thank YOU so much! I love doing this, because there are so few people who treasure this rich part of our hertitage. I am glad to have met quite a few of the ones that still love the old music, and I really thank you for kind words. If you have any requests for videos, please let me know, and if I have it, I will be sure and put it up. Thanks again for listening , Brian
One of my favorite tunes. I first heard it on John Hartford's Catalogue album - "And we're gonna cast off the headline and back out on to the river and here we go."
