This was the first song to sample Melvin Bliss's "Synthetic Substitution", now one of the most sampled songs of all time. It also samples "The Boss" and "Make It Good to Yourself" by James Brown (1973), "It's Yours" by T La Rock and Jazzy Jay (1984), "Rock the Bells" by LL Cool J (1985), & "Get Up and Dance" by Freedom (1978).

An 80's song where the flows are far superior to these mumble and trap rappers of today...lol just goes to show talent transcends time.

If you was age 10-21 listening to Red Alert on Saturday night when this first came out in 1986 you knew this was the beginning of something special in hip hop.

Im English and was into Hip-Hop in the Eighties when i was a teenager. I know the track word for word as have listened to it hundreds of times as Ultramagnetic are my top Hip-Hop crew ever!!...Kool Keith takes it to a different level and everyone from Public Enemy, to Eric B & Rakim, to the Kings of Pressure, to De La Soul to Stetsasonic to the Jungle Brothers etc etc.......said they were influenced by this Track. Kool Keith along with Rakim the two Greatest Mc's of all time........
