I love the heart felt Gospels of the late 70s and 80s. Even when they brought in more instrumentation, they told the story and meaning of the true Gospel. Jesus Christ IS the Way!
This song helps me to reflect on Revelation chapter 10, and capture the moment of leaving everything behind and entering the Presence of God. It is so pure.
This song came back to me from when I was a child. So relevant now as I look at what's going on in the world and how people are turning away from God. This song reminds me what I must do: tell everyone!
Tramaine's voice is just perfection. I really dislike what's being called gospel music these days. This is true gospel music & anyone who knows the Lord for real knows the difference.
In the transition of Edwin Hawkins, I've listened to the Hawkins family and have enjoyed all the Hawkins contributions for this fallen world. I'm very grateful that a lot of treasures were left for our spirit to carry on. My heavenly Daddy you got him now, Let Your Will be done!!!
THIS MORNING I WAS NOT FEELING MY BEST BUT IT WAS THE WORDS OF THIS SONG THAT BROUGHT MEMORIES OF THE DAY WHEN I WAS A YOUNG
MAN TRYING TO FIND MY WAY IN THE WORLD. TRULY I CAN SAY THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY. THANK YOU LORD FOR ANOTHER OLD SONG
THAT TOUCH MY HEART AGAIN. WALTER HAWKINS WILL ALWAYS BE THE MAN THAT TOUCH SO MANY HEARTS AND MINE.
This is probably one of the greatest Gospel songs ever written from one of the greatest Gospel records ever produced from one of the greatest Gospel artists of all time. My personal favorite.
I got saved in 1979 when i was in the army and this song was very encouraging to me and even more now god bless and continue to bless that anointed family.
