I can actually entirely hear Huey Lewis pulling this off - and he would have been into it - maybe he still is - any decent harp player would want real horns, and the best in the business besides - his records with the Tower stand out to me

These guys, Average White Band and Crusaders introduced me to this golden age of funk/jazz.

Much respect to Huey and others who have made good use of the Tower of Power: but in-house vocalist Larry Braggs - you sir are building a resume - this is a big time lead vocal. PS were I Elton John or Lowell George I would have hired the TOP rhythm section as quickly as the horn section - my bet is FRP and DG plus CT or Conte are heard somewhere - but where? Cheryl Lynn's hits maybe?
