I’m 33 and just started watching Andy Griffith with my husband last week and when I saw Aunt Bee the Warden I laughed my ass off at Otis singing this song. It’s been pretty addicting. I rewatched that part about 10 times and can’t stop singing “it makes you crazy all the things that you say! That’s the way the dipsy doodle works!” My neighbors probably think I’m sloshed
Otis, yea... that's what made me look this up too! He may have made it more memorable then the bands did! He was a hoot being drunk. Those were the days!
LoL.. Awh.. That's what brought me here. I don't remember ever hearing that song anywhere else. Only Otis, ALL MY LIFE. Can't believe I'm just now researching it's origin and all the lyrics. Turns out, I've had a lot of Dipsy Doodle moments. =) God Bless Ya
I'm really listening this on my vinyl record lol. but my record player also pays tapes, cd's , am fm radio, and an mp3 hookup. All its missing is an 8 track lol
