LYRICS
[Chorus]
There's no home for you here girl, go away
There's no home for you here
There's no home for you here girl, go away
There's no home for you here
[Verse 1]
I'd like to think that all of this constant interaction
Is just the kind of make you drive yourself away
Each simple gesture done by me is counteracted
And leaves me standing here with nothing else to say
Completely baffled by a backward indication
That an inspired word will come across your tongue
Hands moving upward to propel the situation
Have simply halted
Now the conversation's done
[Chorus]
[Verse 2]
I'm only waiting for the proper time to tell you
That it's impossible to get along with you
It's hard to look you in the face when we are talking
So it helps to have a mirror in the room
I've not been really looking forward to the performance
But there's my cue and there's a question on your face
Fortunately I have come across an answer
Which is go away
And do not leave a trace
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
Waking up for breakfast
Burning matches
Talking quietly
Breaking baubles
Throwing garbage
Drinking soda
Looking happy
Taking pictures
So completely stupid
Just go away
[Chorus]
I'm only waiting for the proper time to tell you
That it's impossible to get along with you
It's hard to look you in the face when we are talking
So it helps to have a mirror in the room
Got this album for my twelfth birthday from my older brother cause I loved the music video for Seven Nation Army so much. Along with Meteora by Linkin Park...which collected dust while Elephant got worn to shit. Did you know you can wear through CD's? lol Anyway, I came to say 1:53 still gives me the chills and make my toes curl...
It's spot on too. When you're so done with that person, everything they do sets you off...
Waking up for breakfast,
Burning matches,
Talking quickly,
Breaking baubles,
Throwing garbage,
Drinking soda,
Looking happy,
Taking pictures,
So Completely Stupid,
JUST GO AWAY!
I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. Was in the parking lot of the record store I bought it at on its release date. I was 18 and in my first serious relationship, and getting ready for College. It just floored me, I played it on repeat for days, learned it on the guitar (poorly) and just thought it was their opus. It means so much to me
