No need for apologies - your message comes through clearly.
Until you mentioned "Inspector Gadget," I didn't realize the similarity of the two pieces until I just listened to the theme a minute ago. Good observation. If it interests you, you may want to have a listen to Edvard Grieg's "In The Hall of The Mountain King" to hear from where the melody originally came - someone else mentioned that below.
