Man what happened to america? From a happy, easygoing, and carefree people in the 90s to a chaotic divided mess of people in 2020.

This is about a group in the 90s reminiscing to their care free youth at the end of the 70s, now a load of folk in the 20's are watching this reminiscing about their care free youth in the 90s. The circle of time.....

My dad used to listen to this song when i was a kid and i loved it so he got me a cd and a little portable cd player. recently my dad killed hisself and its been so hard keeping my composure. this song just brought back so many memories and it hurts. i know people probably dont care but i just really needed to say it.

This song is too much man. Too much nostalgia. Too much sadness and happiness all in one. Makes you wonder what the hell this life is really about and why we are even here. But also makes you get the feeling there is a reason we are here and it’ll all make sense when we die. I’m not even depressed. I love life. But apart of me can’t wait to die to see the truth. Weird. Life is weird.

Dear god, this song just oozes so much nostalgia it's almost uncomfortable. Just brings back the best memories we'll never be able to relive.

Shakedown 1979, cool kids never have the time On a live wire right up off the street You and I should meet June bug skipping like a stone With the headlights pointed at the dawn We were sure we'd never see an end to it all And I don't even care to shake these zipper blues And we don't know just where our bones will rest To dust I guess Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below Double cross the vacant and the bored They're not sure just what we have in store Morphine city slippin' dues, down to see That we don't even care, as restless as we are We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts And poured cement, lamented and assured To the lights and towns below Faster than the speed of sound Faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope Justine never knew the rules Hung down with the freaks and ghouls No apologies ever need be made I know you better than you fake it, to see That we don't even care to shake these zipper blues And we don't know just where our bones will rest To dust I guess Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below The street heats the urgency of now As you can see there's no one around

A lot of people are saying this song reminds them of memories that never happened, I think this song reminds me of memories I WISH had happened.

Nostalgia is that ache in your heart for place that no longer exists. This song captures that delciously painful sound.
