Cause i believe in you, head s playing tricks cause you feel like mine, listen to me baby
hoo hoo hoo hoo
wake up making love
Wake up making love, cause i believe in you
Do you feel it too, what do you want to do
Hey believe in me, what do you want to do
Cause i believe in you, hey believe in me
Hey believe in me, head s playing tricks cause you feel like mine
if we don t take this chance
Got em me some new kids in this town, what do you want to do Me, what do you want to do
said i wanna find out who you are
hey believe in me
Cause i believe in you, summer nights make you feel alone
Listen to me baby, just when i was thinking i ve been moving on
What do you want to do, i need some company
wanna love you cause you look so fine
it s so divine
What do you want to do, feel when i m leaving
What do you want to do, it s so divine
What do you want to do, i need some company, listen to me baby
Hoo hoo hoo hoo, cause i believe in you Me, if we don t take this chance
I've decided, with all the positive attention this song is getting on these pages - I have been a trifle harsh. Because it's clear people genuinely rate it.I listened to it, in a live acoustic version (just the two of them) and that i much prefered (because they are so brilliant/natural/infectious in that format). So it could be the commercial arrangement here that's putting me off. However, that's what seems to be appealing to a lot of people here - and maybe a new audience, who are not familiar with their older, more quirky, more original stuff.
Only became aware of The Pierces two weeks ago through a friend, and a listen to two or three tracks from their latest album, was enough to persuade me to book to see them live in Sheffield last night (20/9/14). Have also been listening to & watching these videos on You Tube every day since and must say, I am hooked! They are brilliant! Last night, standing only 20 feet away from the stage was awesome. A lot of the older stuff is excellent too, but for me, Creation is by far their best work yet. Whilst it may not be as "quirky" as previously, they can hardly be faulted for upping their game by going down a slightly more "mainstream" path, TV appearances et al, if only to survive. If, by keeping under the radar, meant they were to call it a day, what a great loss that would be, in my opinion.
