April, 1967: Producer Tony Clarke was assigned The Moody Blues to try and salvage something for Decca. One of the first Justin Hayward tunes they recorded; Elton John's future producer, Gus Dudgeon, is the engineer. Didn't do well, and the band was about to be dropped before they were assigned doing a rock-based album of Dvorak music with an orchestra. Instead, they managed to get "Days of Future Passed" recorded and made history.
