This is ... A PERFECT Masterpiece, recorded by IMMORTALS that wound eventually become My Friends. I despair that They are gone. I will join them in my own time ... enjoy the Eternal EXCELLENCE of this until it is YOUR Turn to pass this Perfect Composition along to those You Cherish ... "That IS The Way Of Things" ... Pax Mentis, Good Will To ALL.

Yep! fantastic sound! I've been listening to this since the 60's- my friend and great R&R DJ Jeff Allen was always kind enough to include this in his Christmas repertoire of R&B sounds just for me! (not exactly rock and roll)...

I had heard this record for the first time in 1964, in a album called "The Modern Jazz Quartet and Orchestra". It's a masterpiece.

Really a great song...bring back many memories. I still have the original record on 45rpm and i like the fact that this is a continous play of the song...On my 45 it use to bother me that i would have to turn over the 45 to hear side 2. Art Pallan on KDKA Pttsburgh played this every Christmas season along with The Song Of Mary ( The Magnificat ) I miss those times... Another Broadcaster by the name of Jack Bogut of Pittsburgh would play these two songs .

Yes "England´s Carol" has that thing that lifts the spirit. Nobody else makes music like this. Yes I agree it's a shame. Thankfully, the music is eternal, so we can reward as long as we live.

Ever since I was a kid I loved this music. It sounds more like Christmas than any other song ever made. Nobody plays it anymore. What a shame. I found a copy of it in a record store back in the 80's and still have it. I also have the download from Amazon. I'm so glad to see it posted. I posted it a couple years ago but it was not permitted to play with my video.

It's from an LP on Atlantic called "Modern Jazz Quartet and Orchestra." The original release was the early '60s.
