Way back in the glorious fifties I was allowed backstage at the Brighton Hippodrome by a classmate at school whose parents were in an acrobat act. Watched them sing from the side of the stage. Such a thrill - makes me feel 15 again!

Now approaching my 78th birthday with great fear I can so remember so clearly when I saw this act at the Brighton Hippodrome in the fifties as a fellow schoolgirl at Sacred Heart Convent and she was at the St Annes Home in Hove and invited me to the Brighton Hippodrome where her parents who were acrobats were performing and I stood at the side of the stage in absolute wonderment, the evening was magical. How come I can remember this moment in my life so clearly so many years ago but cannot remember things from yesterday! My gratefull thanks to my fellow school friend who gave me a magical evening.
