After I first saw them do Teardrops Follow Me at The Murray the K show where they really put on the moves ! They played a Show in Greenpoint , Brooklyn ,
where I grew up ! they did another great show , then they joined Dion after he left The Belmonts , I was 13 to 15 yrs.old at those times ! I do remember everyone was shocked and some angry that he dropped the Belmonts , but we loved the Del Satins and got over it quicly , when the Belmonts had a hit with Come On Little Angel
Let us not forget the late, great Johny Maestro of the Crests fame was a part of the Del Satins before moving on to the Brooklyn Bridge. A lot of history here.
Was sitting at the pool today and conversed with Marti--I told her that I use to sing with a group 004 and did the '64 worlds fair theme song. We were at the Brill bldg a few times and even went on WWRL' s tip top talent hunt. It was fun reminiscing with Marti and when she said she went out with Stan I told her we used to do Teardrops all the time. Marti is a great person and we shared Yorkville memories. doowops forever
