This is real pure old fashion gospel music that is redemptive and everlasting. There is no substitute for it. I love it.

I agree..I don't agree with that comment because the Ward Singers and the Davis Sisters each had their own ministry..there shouldn't be any competition in the service of the Lord...Jesus said, Lord make them one as We are one..he didn't intend for his children to compete in the kingdom trying to show off each front of each other...Lord keep help us to stop competing in the church become unified in the Spirit and help us lift us the name of Jesus!!

I don't believe these gospel legends were in competition with each other. They loved the LORD and singing. To me there were THREE GOSPEL LEGENDS during that era: 1.The DAVIS SISTERS, 2. CLARA WARD GOSPEL SINGERS and last but NOT least, 3. The POWERFUL BARRETT SISTERS. Listening to this MAGIC- BLESSED Music, folks did not have time to be depressed and burden down from the cares and hardships of life. HALLELUJAH!!

Margaret Allison was certainly one of the Ol' Skool Saints. Doesn't sound like she was to be trifled with

The church of Jesus Christ must and will go back to the old landmark before that great and terrible day of the Lord. God is coming back for a people who have made herself ready without spot nor wrinkle. He's not coming back for a people that have attached themselves to the world and everything it has to offer. God's true believers are a set apart people that have come out from among them. God bless. Be faithful until the end people of God.

I have read some of the comments about The Davis Sisters and The Clara Ward Singers. According to God's word there are diversity of gifts (1 Cor 12:4) and he gave each of us gifts according to his good pleasure (1 Cor 12:18). Nothing is said about competition or who was better. We are all part of one body. Now regarding living hear on earth, the Lord did not say we could not have anything of comfort, if that were so, he would not have blessed the people of Israel when they came out of captivity under Egyptian rule (Exodus 12:33-39) or Solomon, king of Israel (1 Kings 3:7-14). But here is where the problem comes and that's when we serve and love things that are accumulated more than we love and serve him.
