0:49 0:50 - The drummer accidentally hits the rim instead of the snare, missing the snare beat. These kinds of recording errors actually show that these are fine musicians, who aren't unafraid of leaving in the occasional human mistake. I'll take that over any overproduced auto-tuned product any day.
They got robbed, they got robbed. They should have been inducted into the (Rock n' roll Hall of Fame?) like 20 years ago. This still sounds more modern/accomplished than some of the crap today. They have soooo many top hits, etc. I don't care if you are country, top 40, rock, rap, punk, new wave, etc. Everybody likes The Cars!!!
The Cars were kind of an anomaly of the punk era when live bands made a huge comeback. The Cars were studio all the way, but their sound was so tight, unique and fun that in the age of MTV, they were number one in creativity.
I'm only 23 but i was brought up with the cars. both my parents loved them. my mom passed away this year and this album takes me back to those times. even the girl on the cover looks exactly like her. geez, gotta appreciate the good times before they're gone.
