Hi, Heather! Yes, the original by Mr. Miller and orchestra is just beyond classic, I think. I'm so glad you liked this one. Thank You for watching, listening and commenting! Wishing You a wonderful weekend too!

The Glenn Miller sound is often copied (and copied poorly I might humbly observe) but whoever the bandleader on this disc was, he got it SO perfectly, I had chills. Beautiful, beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, Thank You! Their unmistakable harmony is such a signature sound of their music and a sound that I just love. The song itself is beyond classic, I think! Thank You So Much for watching and listening! Wishing you a wonderful weekend also!

Great, great group. They came from a family of Ukranian Jewish immigrant parents who settled in Massachusetts and had 11 children. Nine survived childhood and the four youngest formed this group. Sadly Ed, who eventually had a solo career, is the only surviving member. At age 86, Ed still performs, and only a few years ago headlined a PBS special and sounded wonderful.
