In 1959 or 1960 while Teddy Randazzo was in Toronto, Canada (probably at the CBC) he had to call the Telephone Operator (I forget why now) and I answered his call. I was just a kid then and thrilled to hear his voice and never forgot that day. At that time he was a big star.
great vocalist ,composer, lived near me in orland fl. when he passed .we met and talked briefly,i always admired his work.i have sung professionaly all my life,he always inspired me.
I had no idea he wrote all those songs, wow. I have one of the movies he was in and you are right. He really should get more credit for his songwriting and producing successes. He was obviously a good singer too. Keep your great comments coming, they are very interesting and informative.

I'll make you laugh when you're blue
That way I can be close to you
From the start;
I play the part,
While I make you laugh
Someone else fills your heart
That's the way of a clown
That's the way of a clown
It's the part I must play,
That's the way of a clown
I laugh, with tears in my eyes
Like a clown, I wear a disguise
Can't let you know,
I love you so,
You love someone else, so on with the show
That's the way of a clown
That's the way of a clown
It's the part I must play
That's the way of a clown
In my heart I keep praying
That some day you'll come to me
But as I masquerade,
I'm afraid it never can be...
Pity me
That's the way of a clown
That's the way of a clown
It's the part I must play
That's the way of a clown
That's the way of a clown
