Dumb song. Not necessarily bad, but nothing that makes it necessarily good either. Other than that its different. Easily the worst song on the debut album and kind of keeps it from being a "perfect" album.

Futterman managed IF which is where Cliff Davies came from and Cliff never got credit for all the things he did, co-wrote, etc with/from Nugent.

I saw an interview with Ted and he said that Cliff sings this song. So basically Stranglehold is sung by Derek with Ted singing the interlude, Ted sings Motor City Madhouse, Cliff sings this one and Derek sings the rest of the album.

Great tune...but one question I have that I've been unable to find the answer to is -- who sings this song on the album? The voice is very smooth, but doesn't sound like Derek's. Is it Rob Grange or even Cliff Davies singing, or is it Derek?

hmm, well, what does music do for you? Apart from the age of the music and the memories it brings me, it makes me feel warm. It makes me smile. Not in the same way that Wango Tango and Joe's Garage makes me smile. Hey, if it works for you, enjoy it. If it doesn't, find something that does. Music is good but it's very subjective. This makes me feel warm. Dig it.

I was a TN fan in the late 70s, but haven't been a fan since he got all political gunslinger. I mean, he's got a right to be how he is, and so do I. Woke up today with this song in my head anyway, and had to hear it one more time. As far as I know, it's one of only 2 songs Ted ever did about loving someone. Yeah, this is the stuff.
